Mary Hawkins

Mary is a writer and editor who has been in the online space since 2009 when she started her former-and-once-very-popular parenting humor blog, The Mommylogist. She's written for various publications since, though she spent the majority of her online media career at CafeMom, a site she called home for nearly 8 years. Mary served as Content and Editorial Director for The Brain Possible before the 2020 pandemic when she decided to go out on her own as a freelancer. That move eventually led her to NewFolks and Affinity Sites, and she's an Associate Editor here. She lives in a small town in Connecticut with her 15-year-old son and a pint-sized Shih-Tzu named Tito who definitely rules the roost. When she's not glued to her laptop, Mary can be found enjoying the sights and sounds on one of the many beautiful hiking trails New England has to offer.
