Fall has so many wonderful flavors from apple and pumpkin to cranberry, that mix up well in mocktails. Even cinnamon and pear are super refreshing for Thanksgiving mocktails. Mocktail recipes don’t have to complicated either. We’ve got mocktails for kids that you can stir up quickly. Pour into a stylish glass, top with a bit of garnish, and everyone will want one.

Apple ginger fizz

All you need to shake up this mocktail for the kiddos is apple cider, ginger ale, ice, and a pinch of cinnamon. Have sliced apples on hand to use as a garnish.

  1. Combine 4 ounces of apple cider and 4 ounces of ginger ale in a shaker.
  2. Shake it up for about half a minute.
  3. Toss in a smidge of cinnamon for that inviting smell of autumn.
  4. Pour into a waiting glass containing ice cubes and two to three thinly sliced apples.

Sparkling apple cider

If you’re looking for a fast, no-fuss mocktail, try sparkling apple cider. Pour it into those fancy glasses over ice and add two to three thinly sliced apples, mint leaves, or cranberries. You have a refreshing mocktail that’s super simple. Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple Cider is available at Target and Costco. If you’d like to make your own sparkling apple cider, it’s not difficult. Pear cinnamon mocktail

This tasty mocktail has a few more ingredients, but it is worth the effort. Sparkling water, lemon juice, an Anjou pear, cinnamon, and coconut sugar make this mocktail pop. A cinnamon stick and rosemary make it look pretty.

Maple pear sparkler

Pear juice, maple syrup, and sparkling water combine for this fabulous, flavorful fall mocktail. Ice and a cinnamon stick top it off.

Pumpkin mocktail

What would fall mocktails be without pumpkin? You might think pumpkin doesn’t belong in a drink, but not after you try this recipe from Clean Eating Kitchen. Pumpkin puree, apple cider, brown sugar, and ginger ale give a powerful fall punch. A cinnamon stick adds an autumn garnish. This mocktail starts off with heating the ingredients. So, allow a bit more time if you’re mixing this up for Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving is a food-centered holiday. There’s so much to think about with appetizers, dinner, and dessert, but don’t forget about the beverages. Mocktails can be a fun way to bring more of that fall vibe into the Thanksgiving holiday. Serving mocktails lets kids be a part of the festivities, too. These mocktails for kids are packed with fabulous fall flavors that guests of all ages will savor.

Parenting — and loving a child in your life, more generally — is such a trip. One moment, you're wondering why a days-old baby is crying (and won't stop) and trying to introduce solids. The next? You're sending them off to big-kid school, which starts with Kindergarten.

As children age, their worlds grow more extensive, and their interests change. While the holidays and birthdays can feel drenched in pressure and consumerism, some of the best gifts for kindergarteners can play into their current interests and help them build future skills, like critical thinking. Some gifts aren't "things" but experiences that give them lifelong memories (at 5 or 6 years old, a child may be able to recall a baseball game or camp). With so many options, you may find honing in on the best gift for the kindergartner in your life challenging. Below, you'll find ideas to spark your adult imagination.

Four-year-olds are in the middle of the "magic years." For the unfamiliar, the magic years refer to a period between 3 and 5 years old, when a child's imagination runs wild and their learning capacity is seemingly endless. We often equate the best learning settings as ones with few distractions, tons of desks, and a teacher in front of a 300-person lecture hall. However, preschoolers learn from play.

Holidays and birthdays may feel like an exercise in mass consumerism, but finding great gifts for 4-year-olds can help them develop skills while having fun. Toys and books come at various prices, and not all gifts for 4-year-olds have to be a thing. You can gift fun experiences that provide a child with lifelong memories. We made a nice list of gifts for 4-year-olds (and checked it twice).
